School & Special Interest Groups in Nepal
Community Development Work

School in NepalFunding our own registered charity Community Action Nepal, we are able to offer school and other groups the chance to help out with one of C.A.N.'s community development projects. With almost 30 projects completed over the last 5 years, among them schools, health posts, installation of clean water supplies and a Buddhist monastery, there are many more in the pipeline and working alongside a team of local people can be a very rewarding experience. We are also able to find short term placements for qualified teachers, midwives or community nurses, doctors and dentists.

Tailor made holidays

There are so many possibilities for trekking, wildlife journeys, rafting and cultural trips in Nepal, India, Pakistan and Tanzania, it is not feasible to give full details of them all. If you can't find exactly what you're looking for in the brochure, we would be pleased to arrange a personalised itinerary, designed specifically around your needs, and often for as few as four to six people. With our own office in Kathmandu and the extensive knowledge and experience of our staff both in Nepal and in the UK, we offer a comprehensive and professional Nepal travel service. In India, Pakistan and Tanzania, we use the services of some of the best ground operators, whose experience and commitment matches ours.

Educational and Field Study Visits

With its fascinating mix of peoples and religions and incredibly diverse environments that range from tropical forests to the highest mountains on earth, an educational visit to Nepal can enrich and stimulate the minds of young people as well as provide the opportunity for the physical and mental challenge of trekking. A trek itinerary can focus on specific areas of the curriculum, such as geography. With cultural visits or a wildlife safari combined with trekking, you can cover a wider range of topics, for example religious beliefs and values, creativity and culture, poverty and development, conservation and the environment and tourism and the economy. As well as providing an endless source of study material, a trip to Nepal can be a life-changing experience for the young (and not so young!). With many years of trekking expertise and an in depth knowledge of Nepal, our staff can design an educational trip specifically to the needs of your group.
