The Kingdom of Mustang offers the trekker a fascinating insight into Tibetan culture and the life of the Lobas people of Mustang.

After a spectacular mountain flight from Pokhara to Jomson, which follows the Kali Gandaki between the 8000m peaks of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri, our trek follows the Kali Gandaki river into a wind-eroded semi-desert landscape of spectacular rock colours. This is a restricted area so that trekker numbers are limited. The quiet nature of this area encourages a brilliant diversity of bird life, including many species of birds of prey. Lo Manthang, the kingdom’s capital, is home to the king, and if we are lucky we may be invited to have tea with him.
