The Langtang area caters for all abilities and trekking styles, both tea-house and camping treks are equally as rewarding. This is an ideal introductory area for those who are planning their first trek in Nepal.

The Langtang National Park is almost due north of Kathmandu and butts up against the Tibetan border. Created in 1976 and with an area of 1710 km² it is Nepal’s second largest National Park after the Shey-Phoksumdo Park in Dolpo. The Langtang National Park contains a wide range of flora, fauna and bird life, boasting around 1000 plant species, 160 birds and 30 species of mammal, including the Himalayan tahr, musk deer and the lesser panda.
