This is a unique trek beginning in the lower Everest region, an area of exceptional scenic beauty, then taking us through villages untouched by tourism to cross the Everest trail.

 

This trek includes a visit to the Thubten Choling Gompa (monastery) with its 150 monks, exiled by Chinese repression, worshipping in their beautifully painted monastery building.

 

The trek will also include visits to a number of other Buddhist monasteries, a visit to a School and Health Post funded by CAN in a remote Nepali community and an opportunity for those with the energy to trek to a height of 13,604 ft on the Konglemu Danda (ridge) to experience spectacular views of surrounding mountains including Everest.

Important Note: Whilst we expect that the trek will run as per the itinerary, participants should accept that there is a possibility of changes being necessary subject to local conditions.

The Price Includes:

  • Transfers between Kathmandu and trail head.

  • Accommodation for 3 nights in Kathmandu in rooms with shower and WC and inclusive of breakfast.

  • Participation in the trek as per itinerary inclusive of full board, camping equipment (not sleeping bags)

  • Services of porters (15kg max per person), Sirdar (head guide) and kitchen staff

  • Trekking permit

 

Not Included:

  • International flights

  • Nepalese visa - (please refer to our document “Preparing for your trek: Nepal” for latest prices)

  • Meals other than breakfast in Kathmandu and Pokhara

  • Travel insurance

  • Tips

  • Items of a personal nature such as drinks, laundry, telephone calls and souvenirs (allow approximately £250 spending money.

CAT specialises in providing standard and bespoke treks for groups, typically couples, parties of families and friends, and school, college and Scout parties. We are also happy to provide trips for clients travelling alone.

Our standard trip prices shown above are based on a team of 4 trekkers. Treks can be booked for larger and smaller parties, or individual trekkers. Please contact us directly for more information.

SINGLE ROOM/TENT SUPPLEMENT

The single supplements shown above apply if you request a single tent or single hotel room for your trip. If you are applying for a place on these trips on your own and would like to join another trekking group, we can place you in a shared tent or room with another trekker of the same gender to waive this supplement.

BOOKING FLIGHTSThe prices quoted on this page are for land-only travel. You will need to book your flights separately, however we can assist you with this. Please contact us with your requirements and we can quote you for the flights separately from the trek. Flights will need to be paid in full prior to us booking them.
